Free On-Site Horse Lease Program

Horses in Harmony offers a unique, full service horse leasing program designed for the new horse owner or second homeowner in the Central Florida area. We understand that owning a horse can be overwhelming. Therefore, we have designed a program to take the hassle out of having your own horse. This is a great program for horse enthusiasts to jump in and experience horses without making a big financial commitment. Horse ownership is a major long-term commitment and we encourage anyone who wants to own a horse to learn as much as they can in a safe educational environment before taking the plunge.  Leasing enables would-be horse owners to experience the many facets of the lifestyle, acquire the necessary tools and skills, which extend far beyond merely riding.  Buying a horse is easy.  Buying the wrong horse is even easier.  Selling a horse can be difficult, and can take a long time.  Anyone who has the opportunity to lease for a few months before shopping for a horse of their own should take advantage of the option to "get your feet wet.".  Over the years, many of our students who have other demands on their time have found that leasing is even a better long-term option for them.

Requirements:
Due to the fact that the Horses in Harmony still owns the horse in a lease program, we have set the following criteria in order to keep our horses aligned with our philosophy.

• Lessee terms of lease is based on a 12 month period
• Lessee is responsible for costs associated with all horse care for the 12 month lease- including vetting, shoeing and insurance
• Lessee must keep the horse at Horses in Harmony on DELUXE FULL BOARD
• Lessee will have 2 x English Riding Lessons Per Week included in Lease Price (if desired)
• Horses in Harmony must approve all tack and equipment used with horse
• Lessee will contact Horses in Harmony for all training needs. If Lessee chooses to work with another trainer, Horses in Harmony must approve
• Lessee must provide current horse mortality insurance for the price of the horse
• Lessee will sign waiver releasing Horses in Harmony of all horse and rider liability
• Lessee will get first option to purchase the horse (payment plans may be available)
