Gibson Truck World's Daddy's Girl aka "Tuesday" - $7,500

We are very proud to announce that Tuesday aka 'Gibson Truck World's Daddy's Girl' is pregnant by the amazing, world class stallion - BENTE D (standing at Centaur Farms). We are happily optimistic that the combination of our beautiful, dainty, talented and sweet thoroughbred x morgan ... combined with the outstanding temperament and ability of Bente D, should produce a most wonderfully quiet, kind and athletic baby.

Tuesday is a 15.3hh, Thoroughbred x Morgan mare, liver chestnut. 4 Years Old. A beautiful horse who is very dainty and refined. Looks to die for and a natural jump - this one is going to be an awesome dressage, hunter or show jumper in the next phase of her career. She is definitely a "ladies" horse. Extremely elegant. This beauty needs an Intermediate to Advanced rider (jumping or dressage) to truly shine. Highly intelligent, sensitive to the aids and very willing to please. Fast, careful and bold. Because of the natural jumping talent this girl, she must be started out correctly, quietly and gently. Tuesday will begin showing dressage (Training Level) in August 2008.

About Bente D:

Bente D is a world-class jetblack 8 year old Friesian stallion

A real eye-catcher with powerful floating gaits and a stunning expression. Bente is a true Modern Friesian Type. He steals the show everywhere he goes, and absolutely has everything it takes to win in dressage.  He is training at Third/Fourth Level and is a talented FEI prospect.

Bente has great presence, and loves getting attention. He was awarded with a 1 st premium for his fabulous conformation and gaits and will be presented for breeding approval.

Bente measures 16.1h. He has a great future ahead of him. Bente enjoys dressage as well as relaxing trail rides, and long grooming sessions. He is very comfortable to sit, and has forward and smooth gaits.

Bente's sire is approved FPS stallion Abel 344 who  has won numerous show driving competitions in Holland and produces impressive offspring for both dressage and driving. Bente's brother, Tonke was the big surprise of the large group of stallions selected for the FPS performance testing in 2001. He received great comments, as "the powerful Abel-son Tonke showed off with huge and expressive strides and was a treat to the eye... a great talent at work". During his performance test he was said to be a friendly stallion, with an even temperament in training as well as in the barn.

Bente is easy to work with and shows great training attitude, with elastic and powerful gaits. His canter is balanced with good "jump". He has a great front, and is an expressive mover.

Bente D so far has had a very sucessful first show year.  He has qualified to compete in the USDF Championships and the IFSHA Championships.

SHOWTIME LADY aka "Diva" - $1,250 *** ADOPTED ***

S H O W T I M E  L A D Y  (aka "Diva")

15.3 hands, bay,  Imported Holsteiner Mare

We are thrilled to announce that our rescued, imported Holsteiner mare - Diva, who was originally scheduled for euthanasia is now pregnant by the talented Oldenburg stallion, Bravo. And nobody is more happy than Diva herself :-)

Diva is a 15.3hh Holsteiner Mare, (Showtime Lady) 15 Years Old. Imported from Germany and competed as a three-day eventer. In my opinion, this stunning mare must have been worth at least $50K in her prime. I can safely assume that due to the devastating injury to her knees, she must have had a catastrophic fall onto her knees. She has multiple fractures, which have now fused and limited her mobility. She has ruptured her oblique carpal extensors and the digital extensor tendons have been ruptured.  This means Diva is unable to dorsal flex.

Our initial prognosis was that Diva was in too much pain to continue. She was miserable, unable to lower her head to eat, underweight because too much weight would be unbearable for her. We initially planned to give her one week of ultimate pampering and love and then quietly let her cross over that Rainbow Bridge. Diva had other ideas. Within that week, she was grazing, galloping around the pastures, showing enormous interest in our geldings and rolling (ie: getting up and down by herself!).

We gave her a few more weeks - we put weight on her and observed her constantly. Within 3-4 weeks, the vet determined that Diva would be perfectly fine to have a foal of her own. We were ecstatic. This would give Diva a purpose - and we know she is desperate to be a Momma because she absolutely dotes on Geneva, our little colt, as if he was her own. She took the first time we inseminated her. She knows she is pregnant and her whole demeanor has changed. She is proud, happy and much more outgoing! The little life growing in her has literally breathed new life into Diva.

"....I am your equal. I am a wild creature that can never be like you. I have heart, courage, and the game spirit that is my heritage, and I will be respected. I will be taught, and I will please, and maybe in time I will be your intimate. But I will never be your possession. Mine is a fierce love, which knows no mercy for failure. No sympathy for weakness. I have come from the desert with its closeness to the spirit of nature which you do not understand. I was born of the Wind, mine is a warrior spirit. I cannot be humiliated in punishment or defeated even in death. For my spirit lives on in my children's children."
