My beautiful KWPN mare will be 6 months pregnant on the 20th December. I felt her foal kick for the first time, which was so exciting. Jade is doing great under saddle and shows enormous talent for dressage - I have high hopes for Baby. Please visit my "Name Jade's Baby" page to suggest some names for the foal! The name must begin with the letter "G". So far, my favorite choice is "Going For Gold" but I would love to hear your suggestions.

Jade is a quiet mare with 3 solid gaits, has been used for hunter/jumper. She is Dutch/TB with blue registration papers from KWPN-NA. Her sire Anriejetto was a successful Prix St. Georges/Intermediare 1 competitor (info can be found at Cornell University). She is bred to G Walkabout , standing at River Oaks Farm. Walkabout is a very well-bred Warmblood stallion. His sire Guardian is a Grand Prix Dutch Warmblood dressage stallion by the famous Grand Prix dressage stallion Rampal, whose sire was the famous G Ramiro Z. His dam is a beautiful imported Dutch Warmblood mare Primarenia O by the famous Keur stallion Ulft, who is considered by many to be one of the great stallions of the world. (Ulft produced 6 licensed stallions before his death, including the 2000 Olympic Silver medalist Ferro.) Primarenia's dam "Wimona" was by the famous stallion Wagner. Walkabout's 2007 foal crop all went Premium with RPSI.

This foal is eligible for registry with the AWS (American Warmblood Society) and the PHR (Performance Horse Registry) as well as RPSI.

I am working closely with the Barn Manager, Jason, at Gentle Gaits Equestrian Arts Center. Jason has many years of equine experience and is an outstanding horseman and trainer. Jason has an affinity with complete novice riders. For $35 per hour, Jason is willing to take on beginners and teach them the basics in seat and balance on the horse, as well as basic horsemanship skills. Once the novice student has mastered Jason's program, the student can then progress onto Dressage Lessons with Devon.

I will be flying up to beautiful Georgia on 16 December to test ride a handsome, 18hh, imported Hanoverian Gelding. He was trained to 4th Level in Germany. I will keep you updated on the outcome of this! As I like to take on horses with "issues" this guy is up my street. Although he is in a super, loving home right now and he is good under saddle - he apparently still has issues on the ground and can be unfriendly. That is our speciality at Gentle Gaits - we hope to get the opportunity to work through his insecurities!

I will be taking my ARICP Level II Instructor Examination with the Dressage Speciality in Febuary of 2008.

I am proud to present the December 2007 Pet Adopt-A-Thon at Gibson Truck World on Saturday 15 & Sunday 16 December 2007.

Many rescue groups (including Pet Rescue by Judy, United Humanitarians and Seminole County Pet Shelter) will be attending ~ as will foster homes affiliated with these shelters. There will be many beautiful, healthy, loving and innocent cats/kittens and dogs/puppies to choose from.

There will a dog-trainer on-site, chocolate dipped sno-cones, handmade jellies and jams and various other gift items available for sale (with all proceeds going toward rescuing more animals).

Please come and support these heros of the animals and open your hearts and homes to a needy pet this weekend.
