Sundance

"Carlinia Kim" - 16.1HH, 5 Year Old, Chestnut Thoroughbred Mare, All the chrome with a perfect blaze and four high white socks! Quiet and Sweet. This young girl is so patient, willing to learn and steady that she will probably be ''grandma safe'' by the time she is finished. She is green broke at this time but she is starting on her 60 days training and her price will increase accordingly. She would make a very pretty show-horse or a super broodmare. Will make a lovely dressage horse, too. Her markings are PERFECT! She has no soundness issues. This type of mind and eagerness to learn and please makes this doll worth her weight in gold. Definitely would make a super family horse later on in her career. A horse as beautiful as Sundance (inside and out) comes along once in a lifetime. She will definitely give anything the good old ''college try''. She has loaded in my trailer without a problem, faced a small cavaletti cautiously but willingly. She is Jockey Club Registered. She was prepped for the racetrack but never ran. This will be a very, VERY, reluctant sale and only to an approved home. As her training as continued, Sundance has excelled. She is extremely steady, safe and comfortable. I have had novice riders on her, and she remains patient and forgiving. She has not spooked at anything since I have had her, even motorcycles without mufflers on their exhausts or cars backfiring (she had a rider on her when both of this situations occurred and she did not miss a step). She loves being groomed and pampered, she stands for vet, farrier, grooming and bathing. You will never have to guess when she is in heat because she makes that extremely obvious - but she can still be ridden and she will pay attention during these times. She is not marish at ALL! I have never seen this beauty pin her ears. Absolutely no bite, kick, buck or rear in her. She has never attempted to bolt either. I cannot say enough about this incredible horse. She is perfect for any level rider, most disciplines (although speed is not her greatest asset - she is far too laid back and relaxed for that!), she will most likely make an exceptional broodmare. She is one of the calmest youngsters I have ever come across and extremely quiet to handle. If you have been holding out for your dreamhorse, Sundance is probably the answer! She is up to date on her vaccinations with negative coggins, dental, farrier and worming. Can transport within the state of Florida at the rate of $1.75/Mile. Will only sell Sundance to the perfect home, where she will be guaranteed love, excellent care and attention. Videos and photos available for serious buyers only. Sundance is sold with a contract that states if the relationship with the horse does not work out, the horse will be sold back to Horses in Harmony. Sundance's welfare will remain paramount for the rest of her years. For more information, photos and video, please CLICK HERE!  **Update: Due to an influx of rescue horses, we have drastically reduced Sundance's asking price for a faster sale. The proceeds from his sale will go directly toward medical, feed and farrier bills for the rescue horses that have just been brought in ***

SALE PRICE: Reduced From $15,000 to $5,000.

The hardest part of taking photos is keeping her from coming over to her handler for cuddles!

"We have almost forgotten how strange a thing it is that so huge and powerful and intelligent an animal as a horse should allow another, and far more feeble animal, to ride upon its back."

Wendig
Wendig is a registered Canadian Warmblood gelding standing at 16.3hh. Chestnut with a star and connected stripe with fore and hind socks.

His sire Warkanson is a modern Hanoverian Stallion with excellent conformation and elegant movement. His world-reknowned bloodlines give him the genetics to show natural talent for all disciplines. Warkanson' sire WARKANT earned the prestigious award of "Hanoverian Stallion Of The Year 2002" due to the outstanding performance of his offspring at the highest level of dressage. Warkanson's dam sire, Esprit, became famous through producing many internationally competitive jumpers (eg. E.T. ridden by Hugo Smith). Warkanson was imported into Canada in 1998. He is one of only four stallions in all of Western Canada approved for breeding by the German Hanoverian Association, the association with the strictest selection protocol worldwide. Warkanson's foal inherit his wondeful movement and temperament.

Wendig has lifetime registrations with the United States Dressage Federation. Wendig has been shown dressage, at this time we are uncertain of his level of training.

Wendig has severe athritis in his front right knee, and xrays show that he "may" have had a fracture at the back of his knee around 18 months to 2 years ago. It is difficult to tell and we have no history on Wendig at this time. The athritis is now being maintained through joint supplements and plenty of turnout. There is bone being laid down on the lateral exterior of his right front and consequently, we anticipate his ringbone will get worse. The vet has suggested that Wendig has around a 2 year upper level dressage career remaining and after that, perhaps just a trail horse or basic lesson horse.

He has a wonderful personality, very loving and sweet. He is a big horse though and as he tends to want lots of hugs and cuddles, probably is not best suited for a frail or timid owner!!

His feet had been horribly neglected when he arrived at Harmony and he is scared of the farrier. We did have to mildly sedate him for his first trim, but this is something we are going to continue on working with until the shoeing becomes no problem. He is very sore in the soles of his feet and we plan to rebuild the hoof wall enough to put shoes on him ... we will be putting on shoes that are built up higher on one side to combat the bone deposits on the right front leg.

Wendig was easy to load into the trailer, he loves to be groomed and bathed. He really is just a huge puppy dog with a personable and fun character.

Devon will begin his retraining and exercise program and will give an updated evaluation at such time. So far, he has been quiet, willing and kind under saddle. He is responsive with great brakes! He has obviously been well trained and well loved in the past .. it is very sad that this incredible warmblood with such outstanding bloodlines should end up at a rescue and rehabilitation facility.
Without his leg injury, this horse would be sold around $15,000 - $20,000. This horse will only be adopted out to an exceptional home.

Photographs and Video available - Click HERE. Please note, we do inspect all prospective foster homes and will ask for references from your vet, farrier and boarding facility. This is to ensure the ultimate welfare for our horses for the rest of their years.

As with all of our "kids" here at Harmony - no horse is ever for sale through a fault of their own. All proceeds from the sale or adoption of our horses are directed entirely back to our rescue horses.

Horse transportation is available for $1.75 per mile within the state of Florida.
