I applaud your work and will be happy to volunteer when we are back in Florida after Christmas. We have a small ranch in Montana NW of Missoula. We have 6 horses and our ranch manager keeps 3 of his own while he is training. He is teaching me how to train, so maybe I could be of some assistance to you. But I can groom too and love to do that. Keep in touch, as I will.

How sad is it when you see one of God's creatures in that kind of shape? Heart wrenching to say the least. However, there is hope for this beautiful girl. Once you get her out of pain, and on a good diet, she will spring back.
Yes, one at a time does make a difference. It shouts out to this girl HOPE, HELP, and STRENGTH. Once you get her up and going she will be able to stand proud with her head up as if to say "Look at me! I am proud! I am of Value, and I have Worth and Diginity!" You are AWESOME to me and I so admire you and what you do! If these kids could talk, they would have you (and many others) in tears, on a daily basis.
Compared to what he looked like when you first got him, Ghost looks great now! Keep up the awesome work!
I admire you for sacrificing your dreams and wants, just to be able to save them from suffering. It is so hard to save them, build them back up (in spirit and body), and then see them leave to go to a new forever home. It is truly an addiction of the heart that is bittersweet. Your heart is ripped out of your chest when you first see them, then you nurture them and work with them until they bloom into a beautiful creature, then your heart is ripped out again when they are adopted. However, you know you must let them go so that you have room to save more. The hardest thing is to have to turn one away for lack of a place to put them. Arnette, Levy County Animal Shelter
We are so grateful for your compassion and for everything that you are doing to help animals.

Devon is one special girl on this planet.....Her love and devotion to animals is a real inspiration.
Thank you Devon for taking care of those who cannot take care of themselves and are at the mercy of the human race.

Hey,
Ghost updated .....WOW!
"Our treatment of animals will someday be considered barbarous. There cannot be a peaceful civilization until man realizes that the rights of every living creature are as sacred as his own. Never doubt that a small group of concerned citizens can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
- Buddha Siddhartha Gautama
Well done Devon!
Shawn, New York
Wow, Devon, I am really impressed with what you are doing. It is so depressing knowing what some of these animals go through, isn't it? Thank you for sharing your story with me. Is it o.k. if I share it with a couple of people from FANI? Gigi, PMU Foundation
Devon,
What a tear jerker.
When i saw the pics of Ghost and the other babies you have taken in and helped and are helping, and know the decision, and sacrifices you have made i am truly moved. It really is a heart moving moment to hear that a voiceless creature of God is now in good hands and regardless of the sacrifices we make, we are so moved in our hearts to be a part of the daily change for the better these animals are making. Its such a joy to know their are people in the world like you. Thanks from the voiceless animals. Debbie, United Humanitarians, Central Florida
Dear Devon,
Wow! Thank you for all you are doing to help PMU horses. If you like, you can share your horses’ stories on our message board and meet PMU adopters:

Dear Devon, I saw Ghost's video and I was so
moved i wanted to get in my car and drive to your farm and
help. Its so heart moving. What you are doing is a life
saving work, and you are so blessed. I am extremely
impressed. I was moved to tears and thoughts of what can i
do to help. Ghost's video speaks volumes. Thanks For Sharing
It With Me Thanks Debbie
Thanks again Devon,
you are the greatest! Love, Anne (The

wow that story made me
almost cry about your horse, i hope you find a great home
for her i would take her if i had enough room i have 3
horses and that is just to much right now with gas prices
but the best of luck to you and Diva .
...we will be
anxious to meet you in person, you are such a beautiful, and
nurturing individual, you are certainly one of God's best
masterpieces.
Devon, I was so moved by Ghost's first video....It made me cry and haunted me for days.
I was so happy to see him back to his full glory in the new one. What a boy!
Nothing like a tail to tell you how good an animal feels.
I hope you don't mind, but I sent links to those videos before and after to a
private section of a forum of about 25,000 members around the world. No private
info given out, just the videos and a short explanation of what you have
accomplished with this horse.
I don't know that anything will become of it, but I think Horses in Harmony will
get a few hits from the post.
How I wish I could adopt that boy..... Aimee, Altamonte Springs, FL
I looked at your Sundance's
video and she is a credit to you - went beautifully for
such a young mare and I think she will really be
something when her education continues. I think
she will be very successful in whatever career path is
chosen for her. Very best of luck in placing her.

I wanted to tell you that when you were getting on Ox and I was leaving, all the girls you gave lessons to were talking and raving about how much they loved dressage. The 1st girl (Carlie, on Sir) was saying "I thought I was going to hate the lesson today and was dreading it, but when I got up on Sir and Devon was explaining everything, I realized that it might be kind of fun. And then she was such a GREAT teacher I LOVED it! I'm so excited about learning dressage now! I was trying it on the other horse today after the lesson. I loved riding Sir so much, he is such an amazing horse!" And the two other girls were saying "Yeah I really loved it as well, Devon was great, she really helped me understand what I was doing."
So - there you go!!
Now I'm going to be beating off other students with a stick just to get a few minutes of lesson from you! ;)

Just
wanted to thank you for my awesome lesson! I was very sore that
night, but only a little sore the next day. I got to practice on my
horse the next day and lo and behold, I got her to step over in the
turns. Now, she didn't do it right every time, nor did I, but when
I got it right, so did she!! Can't wait for my next lesson. Will
try to do my next one week after next and I'll drop you an email to
schedule it. Thanks again.

I really enjoyed the lesson on Saturday, and I had a
great ride on my mare that day too, applying everything I learned. I
was pretty amazed that she was able to do a perfectly round 20m
circle just by my vision aid!!

I would love to participate in your next clinic and
The Halloween Event sounds like sooooo much fun. I'm already
thinking about ideas. FUN FUN FUN.
You're the best Devon. We can't wait to get the boys over to you.
What a transformation, Ghost is a beautiful horse now, but the
earlier part of the video is so distressing. Is there nothing
one can do against the ex owner, who herself should be shot and
buried in an unmarked grave. Especially considering that the USA
and Cowboys with wonderful horses are like a 'signature tune' to
the rest of the world. Please pass on my admiration to Ghost's
Momma, who has obviously worked so hard to rehabilitate that
beautiful horse. Well done on the wonderful hard work, it must
be so gratifying to see Ghost now, head held high and looking so
majestic.

OH My Gosh!!! What a great day. I really want to thank
you for creating the video, Devon. It is so helpful to actually
see and hear the lesson again. I'm sure I will have watched it a
dozen more times before next Tuesday but it really helps to
clarify what you are saying and how my position looks. Thank you
for your help. Have a wonderful weekend. I am so excited!
