I applaud your work and will be happy to volunteer when we are back in Florida after Christmas. We have a small ranch in Montana NW of Missoula. We have 6 horses and our ranch manager keeps 3 of his own while he is training. He is teaching me how to train, so maybe I could be of some assistance to you. But I can groom too and love to do that. Keep in touch, as I will.

How sad is it when you see one of God's creatures in that kind of shape? Heart wrenching to say the least. However, there is hope for this beautiful girl. Once you get her out of pain, and on a good diet, she will spring back.
Yes, one at a time does make a difference. It shouts out to this girl HOPE, HELP, and STRENGTH. Once you get her up and going she will be able to stand proud with her head up as if to say "Look at me! I am proud! I am of Value, and I have Worth and Diginity!" You are AWESOME to me and I so admire you and what you do! If these kids could talk, they would have you (and many others) in tears, on a daily basis.
Compared to what he looked like when you first got him, Ghost looks great now! Keep up the awesome work!
I admire you for sacrificing your dreams and wants, just to be able to save them from suffering. It is so hard to save them, build them back up (in spirit and body), and then see them leave to go to a new forever home. It is truly an addiction of the heart that is bittersweet. Your heart is ripped out of your chest when you first see them, then you nurture them and work with them until they bloom into a beautiful creature, then your heart is ripped out again when they are adopted. However, you know you must let them go so that you have room to save more. The hardest thing is to have to turn one away for lack of a place to put them. Arnette, Levy County Animal Shelter
We are so grateful for your compassion and for everything that you are doing to help animals.

Devon is one special girl on this planet.....Her love and devotion to animals is a real inspiration.
Thank you Devon for taking care of those who cannot take care of themselves and are at the mercy of the human race.

Hey,
Ghost updated .....WOW!
"Our treatment of animals will someday be considered barbarous. There cannot be a peaceful civilization until man realizes that the rights of every living creature are as sacred as his own. Never doubt that a small group of concerned citizens can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
- Buddha Siddhartha Gautama
Well done Devon!
Shawn, New York
Wow, Devon, I am really impressed with what you are doing. It is so depressing knowing what some of these animals go through, isn't it? Thank you for sharing your story with me. Is it o.k. if I share it with a couple of people from FANI? Gigi, PMU Foundation
Devon,
What a tear jerker.
When i saw the pics of Ghost and the other babies you have taken in and helped and are helping, and know the decision, and sacrifices you have made i am truly moved. It really is a heart moving moment to hear that a voiceless creature of God is now in good hands and regardless of the sacrifices we make, we are so moved in our hearts to be a part of the daily change for the better these animals are making. Its such a joy to know their are people in the world like you. Thanks from the voiceless animals. Debbie, United Humanitarians, Central Florida

wow that story made me

for her i would take her if i had enough room i have 3
horses and that is just to much right now with gas prices
but the best of luck to you and Diva .
...we will be
anxious to meet you in person, you are such a beautiful, and
nurturing individual, you are certainly one of God's best
masterpieces.
Devon, I was so moved by Ghost's first video....It made me cry and haunted me for days.
I was so happy to see him back to his full glory in the new one. What a boy!
Nothing like a tail to tell you how good an animal feels.
I hope you don't mind, but I sent links to those videos before and after to a
private section of a forum of about 25,000 members around the world. No private
info given out, just the videos and a short explanation of what you have
accomplished with this horse.
I don't know that anything will become of it, but I think Horses in Harmony will
get a few hits from the post.
How I wish I could adopt that boy..... Aimee, Altamonte Springs, FL
I am really so happy to hear the news of Trooper. Please
tell Laura that I also am so happy for her getting that
lovely horse. I too wish them all the very best for a
long and happy life together. I suppose I will never
forget the horrific pictures I saw of Trooper on arrival
at Horses in Harmony, and the depressing thought of him
not surviving his ordeal, then as you and your Team
progressed with him he once again became the lovely
horse he once was before some 'low life' abandoned him,
and now it seems he has landed with his 'butt in
butter'. ...... DB, Sri Lanka

I'm still looking at your site! I love the pictures! What a great story about Diva, too! I'm sure God is so happy that you are taking such great care of his animals. I, too, have a 4-year old rescue that was neglected and needs lots of extras, and I don't ride him. He has been though enough so I just get my happiness from watching him run and play with my 2-year old filly.
I'm so glad you do what you do, and I'm sure Trooper will find a superb home! You can tell by his kind eyes that he is so happy and thankful!
I will have to visit your place sometime, it sounds great! If I was a little younger and didn't have my place (and no bills : - )), I would love to work at a place like yours; the barn manager position sounds like a dream job!
Thanks for everything you do for these rescues!
Regards,
I am so relieved the foals are with you getting the proper start in life. Hopefully it won't be too long before they are all three gentle and easy to handle.
Bless you for being such a wonderful foster mom :-)

I looked at your Sundance's

such a young mare and I think she will really be
something when her education continues. I think
she will be very successful in whatever career path is
chosen for her. Very best of luck in placing her.

I stopped by on Wed. and
Madison looked AWESOME!!! She didn't even seem to care
that I was there, which was kinda healing for me. Thank
you soooo much for taking such great care of her and
helping her find a new home with Hali. Hopefully
everything will work out, and Madison will adjust to
snow!! If you get any updates, please forward them to me
if you don't mind. You are such a special person for
doing what you do, and it is rare to find someone with
such a big heart like you have. Your PMU's are
absolutley adorable, I hope they are feeling better,
they looked like they had the sniffles. I hope we will
meet again, and maybe one day when I am able, I will be
able to help another horse in need, and provide a
forever home.

Once again you and your

Trooper is and looking Sooooooooo Good.
Congratulations to you all for your hard work,
inspiration and love for Trooper. If I was rich I

Trooper looks so much better. I wish I could
provide him a home :( He is so lucky to have
you, your staff, and your students to love him
and cherish him like he should be.
Devon, you and your staff do such wonderful
things by rescuing horses. Myself, and the
horse community are ever so grateful of the
rescuing that you and everyone at Harmony do.

I'm sorry to bother you with this, since I'm
not looking to adopt right now...I have just
recently rescued a mastiff from a kill
shelter. I just wanted to say that you guys
seem like the coolest folks. I'm am so
touched that you went out of your way to
rescue all those dogs. I wish you the best
and hope that you find a family for Maddy.
Keep up the great work and never
stop...bless you, Candy
I just wanted to say that you are a wonderful

Hello Devon,
Thank you so much for
sharing your "lucky" find of Trooper and bringing
him HOME! I truly believe that the Lord places us
where we need to be, not just for us but for the
others who need us at that time. Trooper has been
blessed and I too can hardly wait to see Team
Harmony in action again!
Also, I have forwarded your other email with the all
of the "Lucky" dogs to everyone I know and then
some. Networking is wonderful and wouldn't it be
even better if they all had homes by the end of the
week!
Take care, keep up the good work!

Hey D,
There is no mystery
greater than the depth of a woman's heart.
This seems to be especially true in your
case. So proud of you I could burst!
Love,
Shawn
I would like to say although I presently
cannot take on anymore babies. As we have a
very small living space with two adult
humans and three very active children, one
really fat dog, one skinny cat and another
fat one, and two parrots we don’t have the
space inside or the funds to support any
more dogs.
We will however do what we can to find homes
for these animals.
May God bless you in all ways!
Jake
Wow--awesome!! They ARE beautiful--not at all what
you'd think would be on "death row".
The
videos are brilliant--the bigger dogs may seem a
little intimiding, but the video shows that they are
big Mushes!
Well
done!
Laura
I can tell right now that you don't play fair!!!
What a beautiful video! He is so happy and walks so
proud! I'll never be able to tell you enough how
much you mean to us. (Don't worry, I won't kiss you
like Jackson did!) :0) I can hardly wait to see
the rest of them.
Thank You So Much,
Net :0)

for your horse rescue that I could provide

I wanted to tell you that when you were getting on Ox and I was leaving, all the girls you gave lessons to were talking and raving about how much they loved dressage. The 1st girl (Carlie, on Sir) was saying "I thought I was going to hate the lesson today and was dreading it, but when I got up on Sir and Devon was explaining everything, I realized that it might be kind of fun. And then she was such a GREAT teacher I LOVED it! I'm so excited about learning dressage now! I was trying it on the other horse today after the lesson. I loved riding Sir so much, he is such an amazing horse!" And the two other girls were saying "Yeah I really loved it as well, Devon was great, she really helped me understand what I was doing."

You're the best Devon. We can't wait to get the boys over to you.
What a transformation, Ghost is a beautiful horse now, but the
earlier part of the video is so distressing. Is there nothing
one can do against the ex owner, who herself should be shot and
buried in an unmarked grave. Especially considering that the USA
and Cowboys with wonderful horses are like a 'signature tune' to
the rest of the world. Please pass on my admiration to Ghost's
Momma, who has obviously worked so hard to rehabilitate that
beautiful horse. Well done on the wonderful hard work, it must
be so gratifying to see Ghost now, head held high and looking so
majestic.

is amazing! I’m sure it doesn’t come without a lot of heart
break and it’s probably fulfilling to see a little girl’s dream
of a pony come true. To tell you the truth, your website is
AWESOME! I’ve looked at quite a few ponies, and a picture is
OK, but video’s and bio’s of the horses-good or bad, just brings
them to life in your mind. He caught my eye when I saw the
video and you are doing great things for these horses!!
Thank you so
much again, and we will keep in touch. He will be our little
sweetie!

Care…Nicole Freed

Devon, How wonderful it is to come home to something like that, you are truly amazing. I became tearful.
You are probably one of the few people in the world that truly can speak "equine" it must be nice to speak to their souls. I hope to learn some of that from you and hope to
keep him there as long as possible as he is learning. I am still in awe. Thank you so much I can not even tell you
I sit here in awe....still

Hi Devon,
Thanks for this wonderful virtual lesson, I enjoyed every bit of
it and will watch it a few more times. It’s extremely helpful to
hear your comments on all the many aids you are giving.
Keep on doing all the wonderful things you do.
Look forward to seeing you again,
Regina

I would love to leave my horse with you a little longer
and see what we can get from her with your techniques. I really
enjoy the entire atmosphere there as compared to my barn. It is
much more about the horses and their wants and needs. It is
actually fun to ride. I can also tell that my horse is much
happier with the turnout schedule there too.

I'm so looking forward to seeing my happy baby. She is so
incredibly content there...I know it's because of the
environment of love, calmness and tranquility. I feel the same
way when I am there...so even though the road to get to the
place where we are now was at times a bit rocky..it was worth
the travel!! These are the journey's that shape us, and
difficult as they are I always look back on my most trying times
and realize those are the experiences that inspired the most
positive change and growth. Thanks for being such an
inspriring person and a great friend.

Hi Devon,
I don't even know how to thank you for today!!
Thanks--Thanks--Thanks--
I felt so good to see she remembered everything... it was a bit
embarrassing I wish she had acted the way she does with us...
But it was so good to see her behaving at that barn, it gave me
hope she will be Ok... It was also good to see you work so now
I have a better idea how to do it... Today was great...
Roxanne ( the lady that came to see it) was very impressed, she
does dressage with her horse...
She is very interested in having a session with you next time
you come, so I told her I'd ask you...She said she can take the
time off of work and be there
I'm looking forward to the video... can't wait to show Arthur...
he is really excited to see it also...
Again, many many Thanks for all your help, we are truly
appreciative,

Hi Devon
Thanks again for riding my horse today.
It made my day how good you made him look.
Have a good weekend.

FYI: Jazzy
was a STAR today! Even the most curmudgeonly of judges
would have been wowed! : ) We had such a great ride-our
transition to canter was the best its ever been. So, I know what
you're thinking...the same thing I am thinking...what did the
rider do differently---cause that horse obviously knows
what she's doing! Well, I gave rein on the inside-sat way back
firmly in the saddle and made a conscious effort NOT to hang on
the reins. Hmmm seemed to
work! : ) guess I was more focused but relaxed today. Also
Jazz is more of a morning girl than late afternoon. : ) !! Just
wanted to tell someone who could appreciate it! Have a great
day! K

Thanks for the great lesson today. It was so exciting
and deeply gratifying to feel the beginnings of that
canter again. I give you credit, Devon, because you
never give-up. You’ll never know how much that has meant
to me!!!!

I just want to tell you how
much all your help means to me. I could not have
done this without your support! You are a very kind and
special person!. I am looking forward to working with
you on Lenzen and what ever other horse I end up with.
Thanks for the
lesson today. I really like the way you show me
how to use the reins. I have been told to hold the
outside in left lead canter
before but today I could really see and feel how to do
it and make a difference. That's big!
Many blessings to
you, L

....Hey
Devon, things are going super well here with cantering--He
is rarely "popping up" and listens when I bring him down to
a trot--Big Change!! So I know I'm on the right track!!
